Sound of Soul
In many spiritual traditions, sound plays an important part in uplifting the individual. HU is a key to open your heart to God’s loving presence in your life. This simple prayer, singing HU, can change you. It can open your eyes to see clearly the miracles happening around you every day. Regardless of your beliefs or religion, you can sing HU to become happier and more secure in God's love. You have the potential for greater happiness, love, and understanding. Singing HU can bring these to you—through the Light and Sound of God. Throughout the ages, followers of many spiritual traditions have used the singing of holy words to bring themselves closer to God. In the same way, those who have discovered HU, an ancient name for God, sing it for their spiritual upliftment. Come join us for the Sound of Soul event where we sing HU for about twenty minutes followed by a brief silent contemplation. There is time for a friendly cup of tea or coffee and a chat afterwards. Spiritual Walks
It's nice to enjoy a walk or stroll with others of like heart and mind. On these rabbles we enjoy each others company and try to focus our conversations on spiritual topics. Everyone is welcome and all teachings and faiths are open for exploration and discussion.
While it is nice to be with others we love, we can also be with the Mahanta (inner guide) at any time. If you cannot be at the walk, remember the Mahanta is always with you, wherever you walk. “ “Walk with Me, Mahanta” means that you have this inner part of the Master with you at all time. Spiritual Lunch & Video
Come along to the Eckankar Spiritual Lunch and Video for spiritual insights, wisdom and some good food. This is an opportunity to see and hear the most recent talk from Harold Klemp, the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master. Recognized as a pioneer of “everyday spirituality,” Sri Harold Klemp is known for his sense of humour, parables, and practical approach to the spiritual life. Through his living example, he shows people how they too can reach the higher states of divine love. We'll start with a Sound of Soul event, where we as a group sing the holy word HU for about 20 minutes. This will be followed by a lunch where we bring food to share with each other and have a bit of fun and chat. We then watch Sri Harold Klemp's video from the most recent seminar in the USA. It's a nice opportunity to meet people of like heart, listen to the Sri Harold's talk and explore our experiences in life from a spiritual point of view. Light & Sound Service
People of all faiths are warmly invited to the ECK Light and Sound Service. Each service focuses on spiritual principles at work in our lives. You will hear inspiring spiritual stories, experience the HU Chant, and be able to speak with other like-hearted spiritual seekers. It is an uplifting event where you can reflect on and connect with the Light and Sound, the divine aspect within yourself. Following the Service there will be time to chat and have some refreshments.
