Walking tour sunset

During the walking tour we will discover the events and landmarks which were significant during the 1916 Rising which led to the Irish people gaining freedom to rule themselves. We’ll also explore the spiritual aspects of the fight for freedom and how that plays out in our own lives.

Feel free to join us for some or all of the days activities.

2pm HU Song in the ECK Centre, 4 Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2.

2.45pm Freedom Walking tour around the city, 6.5k distance.

6.30pm Dinner in Wagamama’s restaurant on South King Street, Dublin 2.

Below is last year's, 2016, Saturday programme. We are still working on the programme for 2017 but this will give you an idea of what to expect.

On Saturday 14th May we’ll have a HU Song in the ECK Centre starting at 2pm. We’ll then set off on our Freedom Walking Tour around 3.45pm and expect to arrive in Wagamama’s restaurant in South King Street, Dublin 2, around 6.30pm.

The tour is about 6.5 kilometres but we’ll be taking our time and visiting free exhibitions in the GPO and the Photographic Archive along the way. Other significant landmarks from the 1916 Rising on the tour include:
Clanwilliam House on Lower Mount Street,
Liberty Hall,
The GPO,
Moore Street,
City Hall,
Dublin Castle,
Jacob's factory,
Royal College of Surgeons.
